Researchers from FINS, IAS and IBNA visited IFF in Braunschweig
Researchers from FINS (Jovanka Levic and Slavica Sredanovic), IAS (Violeta Juskiene) and IBNA (Smaranda Thoma and Michaela Habeanu) visited IFF in Braunschweig – Germany, one of the most prominent Institutes specialized in Feed Technology.
All beneficiaries make brief presentations of their Institutes and research focus. After that, Dr Aleksander Fiel director of IFF talked about their current activities in research programmes, committees and with respect to training and up-grading.
Ongoing research projects were presented by scientific collaborators of IFF:
- Liquid addition, explosion protection, impurities in grain in handling plants (A. Kirchner)
- Handling of microcomponents, carryover of macro-components
(K.-D. Neumann)
- Structure characteristics correlation of milled grain, cleaning of grain (R. Löwe)
Later we were visited IFF laboratories and pilot plant station and talk about future activities in Feed-to-Food project.
During the visit to Braunschweig we were visited Friedrich-Loeffler-Institute, Federal Research Institute for Animal Health, their laboratories, experimental farms and feed producing unit.
Our hosts made the extra effort to fullfill our free time. They organized guided tour around the city, visit to Autostadt of Volkswagen at Wolsburg and joint dinners. All time in Braunschweig we spent in nice and friendly companionship.
